  • Only therapist to ever testify before the United States Senate when he testified during the ergonomic hearings under the Bush Administration
  • Testified before OSHA on two separate occasions as the representative of the American Occupational Therapy Association during the ergonomic hearings in the nursing home industry
  • Appointed by U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao to the National Advisory Committee on Ergonomics of OSHA
  • Owner/manager of the Center for Work Rehabilitation in Lafayette, Louisiana which over the past 34 years has been the recognized leader in fit-for-duty, return-to-work and injury prevention programs - a big part of which included ergonomic and biomechanical issues related to material handling
  • Made a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and was selected as one of the most influential occupational therapists in the first 100 years of the AOTA for his work with Industrial OT, including ergonomics
  • Accepted as an expert in ergonomics, industrial OT, fit-for-duty programs, etc. in both Louisiana State court as well as in the federal court system
  • Has testified as an expert in over 32 cases and been qualified as an expert in over 100 court cases
  • Training classes on biomechanics and material handling have been recognized as the best by employees in a wide range of industries from oil and gas exploration/drilling and production, chemical refinement, pulp, paper and fiber industries, salt mining, box/manufacturing industries
  • Published 15 articles in professional and industrial magazines as well as a chapter on Industrial Occupational Therapy in an Occupational Therapy Textbook
  • Frequent speaker at local, state and national conferences and symposiums and has presented at over 85 professional conferences/symposiums/safety congresses including 32 state Occupational Therapy conferences, numerous AOTA national conferences and symposiums
  • He is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association and Texas Occupational Therapy Association
  • Licensed to practice occupational therapy in Louisiana, Texas, Oregon, Alabama,and Georgia
  • Graduate, Louisiana State University Medical Center, School of Occupational Therapy in New Orleans, LA
