I Want a Worker's Permit: How to Get Immigrants That All-Important Worker's Permit Based Upon Humanitarian Relief

Understand how to qualify and apply for a worker's permit in the United States- and when not to apply.

Very often, an immigrant, friend of an immigrant or an employer will come to your law office and ask how to get worker's authorization for a foreign national. This ability to work legally in the United States is critical to almost all immigrants. Even if that foreign national is present in the United States without permission from the federal government, there are humanitarian ways of getting him or her worker's permission. This topic will define some humanitarian avenues by which immigrants can get worker's permits and you will understand the necessary terminology. Because you will learn the criteria in order to qualify for these humanitarian avenues, you will be able to evaluate if the immigrant fits under any of these categories. You will be provided with the knowledge to explore possibilities and to potentially answer that question, can I get a worker's permit?
