Understand prohibited transactions and avoid financial liability when it comes to conflicts of interest.
Conflicts of interest and prohibited transactions with clients are common issues for attorneys and can result in a significant negative financial impact on the attorney. You should be aware of the various types of conflicts, how to waive those conflicts, and otherwise avoid issues regarding conflicts and prohibit transactions. This course will discuss applicable conflict rules and prohibited transactions with clients, and the process and procedure for waiving the conflicts, if waivable, and engaging in transactions with clients when not absolutely prohibited.
