What Is Hedge Accounting?

Gain insight into overcoming hedge accounting hurdles.

If you are unfamiliar with hedge accounting, it’s a safe bet to assume that it doesn’t have anything to do with accounting for any landscaping treatments. Hedge accounting pertains to the preferential accounting treatment under the Accounting Standards Codification topic 815 entitled Derivatives and Hedging. This white paper reviews the history of hedge accounting and discusses how ASC 815 guides the accounting treatment over two main bookkeeping hurdles.
