Sexual Orientation Discrimination Prohibited by Title VII, 7th Circuit Finds

 

Eight judges agree on unlawful discrimination.

Judges rule that “discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a form of sex discrimination” and is unlawful under Title VII. Employers should be aware of the many forms of discrimination in the workplace and be certain that they are covering sexual orientation discrimination within their equal employment opportunity and harassment policies.
