Earlier this year there were several updates in the Two-Midnight rule and observation services. CMS recently published updates revealing clarifications to its Two-Midnight policy, as well as clarified its policies on the Medicare Outpatient Observation Notice. And changes to the audit procedure were announces by a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization.
