Medicaid Drug Rebate Agreements: Changes Require Immediate Action By Pharmaceutical Manufacturers

 

Several noteworthy changes were made.

Since the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program was enacted, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have updated the National Medicaid Drug Rebate Agreement. This white paper reviews those changes.

In addition, Mr. Yost gained valuable experience as a student in Cornell Law School’s Global Gender Justice Clinic and Cornell Law School’s Child Advocacy Clinic. He also was an honors fellow in the Cornell Law School Lawyering Program where he served as a teaching assistant in Cornell’s legal-writing program for first-year students.

James M. Matthews, Esq., is affiliated with the Kansas City law firm of Bryan Cave LLP, where his practice is concentrated in the areas of business and estate taxation and planning. Mr. Matthews has lectured at state and local taxation seminars sponsored by The Missouri Bar. He has written and supplemented chapters on interstate sales, and sales and use procedural matters in the Missouri Taxation Law and Practice (The Missouri Bar 1996, third edition). He has also written an article on sales and use tax liability of transferees and successors appearing in the Journal of The Missouri Bar and has co-written another for The Missouri Bar Deskbook dealing with estate planning. Mr. Matthews is a past chairman of the Taxation Committee of The Missouri Bar and is also a member of the Missouri Director of Revenue’s Advisory Group. He is a member of The Missouri Bar; the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association; and the American Bar Association and its Taxation, Corporations, Banking and Business Law, and Real Property, Probate and Trust Sections. He received his B.A. degree from Washington University, his J.D. degree from Saint Louis University and his LL.M. degree in taxation from Georgetown University.
