LIBOR Funding

Gain insight into LIBOR funding.

With the relatively imminent demise of LIBOR-based reference rates, agreements are increasingly considering how to deal with the current offering of LIBOR, its transitioning, and the uncertainty as to the replacement mechanics.  This white paper reviews how LIBOR mechanics are increasingly contemplating the phase out or unavailability of LIBOR-based loans, while continuing to recognize the need to offer these facilities in current arrangements.  It also discusses why several of the international organizations representing lenders, government, and currency exchanges are considering the alternatives to a LIBOR-based reference rate.
