The recent HHS report on cybersecurity best practices isn’t the first time HHS has addressed the issue of ransomware attacks on health care entities. Considering the implications of HHS’ position on ransomware under the Ransomware Factsheet, the new report on best practices is a welcome road map on how covered entities of all sizes can better protect themselves against ransomware. This white paper reviews the recommendations made and offers practical suggestions.
