Which Financial Statements To Use

Learn about which financial statement to use and the key components of a financial statement including the notes and the auditors reports and opinions.

In this video you will learn about the uses of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Stockholders Equity, and Statement of Cash Flow. Additionally the video will explore the content and purpose of the notes to the financial statements. The notes are a vital aspect of the statements and must be read in order to understand the presentation on each of the financials. The notes will provide you with a summary of the firms accounting policies and any changes made to the policies during the reporting period. In addition to the notes, auditors reports and opinions will be evaluated including: qualified opinions, adverse opinions, disclaimers, and limited scope.
