Social Media Ethics Issues

Social media is digital, it is technology in a different form.

Lawyers use a variety of different social media websites. Lawyers need to make sure they distinguish between personal and professional use of social media by asking the following questions, should you promote yourself or your legal practice?; if so, does the platform matter?; and is your social media content and profile subject to the lawyer advertising rules? Check your jurisdiction because chances are that your profiles are subject to the lawyer advertising rules. This video reviews some case law dealing with social media ethics issues and different lawyer advertising rules.
