Regulatory Perspectives on Breach Responses


The SEC released reporting obligations and guidance on public company cybersecurity disclosures.

The SEC requires companies to establish and maintain appropriate an effective disclosure controls and procedures to enable them to accurately and timely disclose material cybersecurity events. Companies must make disclosures regarding business and operations, risk factors, legal proceedings, among other details. This video reviews SEC reporting obligations and risk factor disclosure requirements.
