What are federal and state statutes and regulations supporting e-records?

There aren’t many uniform laws that say if companies can or cannot have electronic employment records. There are limited examples such as the ADEA, ERISA, FLSA and FMLA, which are unique examples as the vast majority of laws do not currently have provisions explicitly allowing storage of records electronically. That doesn’t mean that you can’t have such records stored electronically, however. This video reviews different federal and state legal authorities that support electronic records, including ESIGN and UCITA.
