International Building Codes: The Regulatory Framework

Codes are systematically arranged laws and regulations. They are not suggestions. Codes are the way in which the laws are structured in the United States under the Constitution. Federal laws are primarily global in nature – they apply to all locations. Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate enact Statutes which when signed into law become Public Laws (Pub. L.) or Acts. This video reviews the regulatory framework of the American System of Government.
