Stock options is not complicated but sometimes the language us.

Often times in equity?based compensation stock options are a feature. Stock options are when a corporation grants to the employee a right to purchase specific number of shares of company stock at a fixed exercise price at some future date. Business entities that do not have stock, such as partnerships and LLCs, grant options to purchase equity interest often called. These are often done through a written stock option plan but can be contained in an executive employment agreement. This video reviews types of stock options, tax treatment of stock options, and phantom stocks.
