The first step to an FMLA leave request is to make sure that the employee is a qualified employee. Oftentimes employers forget to check the hire date and hours worked to make sure the employee is eligible for an FMLA leave. This video reviews eligibility notice, certification of health care provider, and how to track intermittent leave.
