Digital Signage Agreements and New Frontiers in Signage

 
Most local governments regulate signs by sign type. The case law governing such regulation is complex and sometimes contradictory, frustrating both local government attorneys and their clients. This video will provide a quick review of the recent federal ruling in the challenge to the legality of digital billboards under the Highway Beautification Act’s intermittent light criteria, as well as developments in the regulation of such signs.

Gilbert for several organizations representing local government interests, and has also participated in oral arguments on behalf of amici in cases before the U.S. Sixth and Eleventh Circuits
  • Speaks and writes extensively in the area of sign regulation, and has long been active in local community organizations and in state and national organizations on issues involving signs and scenic beauty
