Data Management Techniques of the OFCCP's Internet Applicant Rules

Many of you use various forms of resume databases. These generally fall into two categories – internal and external. External databases include online options and internal databases include your own applicant tracking system or some system that captures bucket expressions of interest. If you are going to search through either an external or internal database there are certain recordkeeping obligations that exist. You have to record the position for which you are doing the search. You need to record the date that you conduct the search. You also need to record the criteria, including the key words in your search. If you are doing an external resume database search you need to retain a copy of each of the resumes that came up on your search that you reviewed who met the basic qualifications. In addition, if you are doing an internal database search you need to keep a copy of each resume that was added to the database and the date that the resume was added.

In this 6-minute video our speaker, Matthew J. Camardella, reviews data management techniques to control large numbers of expressions of interests.
