Let’s face it – people don’t always agree. And during construction project that involve change orders this is often the case. This video will outline the key aspect of dispute resolution for change orders during construction projects. It will go over the owner’s position and review the current trend of owners favoring litigation over arbitration. It will cover the various aspects of the contractor’s position including alternate dispute resolution mechanisms. Finally it will look at various compromise solutions including having a dispute resolution board with regular meetings, mediation before litigation/arbitration, and ensuring consistent litigation/arbitration provisions.
