Content of an RFI and Its Importance

The written record becomes part of the contract documents.

Some of the major items that you see when dealing with request for information content includes the project name and number, the date requested, participants included, and references. It is essential to keep these important details organized for easy reference. While RFI’s alone are important, it is also vital to remember that they are a mechanism to ask a question. This video reviews the importance of RFIs and that they may be a trigger for a change order, not a change but a trigger.
