Before you can get to a will contest, there has to be a proceeding to probate a will.

Practitioners that deal with trusts and estates often find themselves faced with will contests. Each state has its own particular procedures for probating a decedent’s will. Each state has certain requirements for the proper execution of a will, and those requirements tend to vary state by state. This video reviews what needs to be done before a will contest can begin, and also discusses typical grounds to challenge a will.
