Change Order Basics: Delay Claims and Excusable Delays

Delay claims are often in the blind spot of construction projects.

There are three essential elements when it comes to delay claims - who caused the delay, is the contractor entitled to a time extension or extra time to complete work on the project or is someone going to be responsible for that extension, and who is going to absorb the costs or will there be any sort of negotiation over those costs? This video answers those questions and also discusses compensable and non-compensable delays, actual and constructive acceleration claims, and disruptions claims and who is responsible for those delays and costs.
