Steve Cvitanovic, a partner with the firm Haight Brown & Bonesteel based in San Francisco, California, covers in this video what he considers to be the three most important deadlines in a California lien case. While there are many important lien deadlines Steve explains the importance of the 20 days after providing labor and/or service, 30 or 60 days of notice of completion if no notice of completion, within 90 days of “completion” and the difference for prime contractors. And lastly he covers the importance of foreclosing on a lien within 90 days or recording.
