How do you define damages?
Once a change event has been identified, the cost of damages must be calculated. The underlying principle with respect to damages, or costs related to a change event, is that the contractor who incurs those damages or costs should be placed in a position that they would have been but for having to do the additional work; meaning that they should be compensated for the additional work that they should not have had to do. This video identifies potential costs and delays associated with damages.
