What is the Board supposed to do?
When looking at basics functions of an organization the Board will look at CEO selection. They will need to evaluate the CEO, set compensation, periodically evaluate and review the CEO. The board should be focusing on long-term strategy of the organization, not the day-to-day management. However, keep in mind that the board could have varied focus based on the size of the organization.
