Do's and Don'ts for Privacy Policy Drafting

Make sure your company stays compliant by updating your online privacy policy to align with today's evolving privacy law landscape.

Since the landmark California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was passed in 2018, four new state privacy laws went into effect and six new state privacy laws were passed so far in 2023. All these laws share the common requirement of ensuring that personal information handling practices are transparent to consumers through a clear, complete, and concise privacy policy. The program will review the differences in state and federal requirements for privacy policies and discuss some drafting tips and traps in the evolving legal landscape and share best practices in operationalizing a privacy policy and related practices.
