Data Validation of a Superfund Site

Chemistry data associated with Superfund investigations are routinely validated to assess the usability and comparability to existing data and to regulatory limits. However few data users understand what data validation can and can’t do to determine data quality or how the results of the validation affect data usability. This OnDemand Webinar helps data users and other technical staff working on Superfund projects understand what data validation is and isn’t and how to plan for data validation from the beginning of a project. Managing the validation task and evaluating historical data are also discussed. Understanding the results of data validation is critical to properly evaluating and using chemistry data, and this program will prepare you to review the results of data validation and understand the impacts on data usability.

Learning Objectives:
•You will be able to discuss levels or stages of validation.
•You will be able to explain project planning and data validation.
•You will be able to identify data qualifiers and their effect on data usability.
•You will be able to review analytical interference examples.
