Due Diligence Considerations for Participation Loans

What are the issues that arise during the term of a syndicated or participated commercial loan?Gain a thorough understanding of the due diligence considerations, loan administration and enforcement issues of participation loan transactions. An increasing number of commercial loans are syndicated or participated, and an increasing number of lenders sell interests in loans they originate or acquire interests in loans originated by other lenders. This topic will explore loan assignment and participation transactions from the perspective of the originating lender and the assignee or participant. You will learn about the nature, purposes and documentation of these transactions; basic due diligence considerations affecting each party; and loan administration and enforcement issues that arise during the term of a syndicated or participated commercial loan.
