Protect your Ship and your Booty.

Who owns your domain? If not YOU, who does? Do you have a private listing? This typd of listing protects your privacy by not displaying your contact information but you’ll have to contact your registrar to find out what contact information is behind the registration. There is also the situation of designer/developer hijacking where your developer will sometimes put their information instead of yours. This could be for several reasons including privacy, ease of access, or the ability to control domain name. Then there is the most common domain situation - host hijacking. This is when whoever is hosting your website will often put their information instead of yours. You may or may not have the ability to change this information by logging into your account.
