How to Build a Records Retention Schedule

To develop a records retention schedule is your first line of defense. It is the bottom line to your records and information management program. Begin by developing your records retention schedule with either a template or you need to create an inventory of the types of records you’ve got and grouping them into different categories or buckets. You then need to map the types of records to each of those buckets.

Our speaker, John J. Isaza, Esq., FAI, reviews project scope and approach. He discusses different buckets to use in your records retention schedule and the need to record routing rules for each bucket. Mr. Isaza also reviews key tasks that need to be performed during your records retention schedule.

John J. Isaza, Esq., FAI is a Partner, Records and Information Governance, at Rimon, PC.
