Health and welfare benefits are necessary in employee recruiting and retention. However, with health care reform, benefits have become increasingly more confusing and complicated. Moreover, the costs of health care – and, consequently, insurance – continues to rise.

This topic will assist employers sponsoring group health and welfare plans design a benefits package that is attractive to employees, that may help combat the rising costs of sponsoring benefits, and provide different strategies for communicating the benefits to employees which will make them more knowledgeable consumers of health care.
