There is an increasing trend among employers to offer unlimited vacation time or unlimited paid time off for their exempt employees. Despite the appeal of these policies, there are many pros and cons an employer should consider before adopting such a policy. This course will explore both the advantages and disadvantages of an unlimited vacation or paid time off policy, including the issue of whether and when unlimited vacation or paid time off accrues under state law. Finally, this course will also provide best practices for an employer to draft an unlimited vacation or paid time off policy.
