Over the past several years, the federal government has required contractors and grant recipients to disclose various occurrences of noncompliance to the awarding agency or face stiff consequences. These requirements have caused significant unease and tension between the contractor/grant recipient community and the federal government. For this topic, experienced practitioners will explain the rules of the road and discuss practical and useful tips for handling disclosures in a manner that seeks to protect the organization's interest while cooperating fully and transparently with the federal agency. These practitioners will also provide tips and information on developing internal practices and policies to improve an organization's processes for future noncompliance.
