How to Accurately Determine Custodial Time

Learn how to measure custodial time.

There can be many issues that arise with divorce or separation and child custody and visitation can be a major conflict. Once parents are separated they continue to be responsible for the growth and development of their children. The responsibility comes in the form of both being present in the child’s life as well as sharing in the cost of raising the child. While there is no standard method of measuring custodial time, there is some guidance as to how to determine the time the child spends with each parent. This white paper reviews how to measure custodial time, and discusses factors that determine custodial time and visitation.
