The Four Financial Statements

Financial statement analysis is different from a creditor’s, investor’s and management’s standpoint.

Bank loan officers and bond rating analysts use financial statement analysis to ascertain a company’s ability to pay its debts. Stock analysts use them to assess a company’s efficiency, risk and growth. Business owners and managers look at the numbers to control and improve their company’s operations. And the business owner that is the guarantor uses financial statements to determine their own personal financial position. One set of numbers is looked at in many different ways.
