Curing Default by Forbearance Agreement
At the conclusion of the forbearance agreement term, the borrower should have cured the original default and be able to resume regular payments. However, the lender may extend the forbearance period if the hardship has not been resolved by the end of the forbearance period. The forbearance agreement may provide for an automatic extension upon the occurrence of a specified event. This video reviews the events of a default and what today’s environment is in the court system.
