In the real world, which payment remedy you use depends on many factors, who is the owner, what type of project is it, and how do the strengths and weaknesses work in relation to the problem you have? Mechanic’s liens are typically second in priority to construction loan but can create problems for owner with lender. A stop notice reaches cash but the stop notice may only reach funds left in construction account, but it can reach interest and fees paid to lenders. This video reviews case studies of the different types of payment remedies.
