Diabetic Foot Ulcers - The Magnitude of the Problem

 
Diabetes affects over 29.1 million Americans and approximately 25% of those people with diabetes will develop a foot ulcer. Of those whom develop a foot ulcer, 6% will be hospitalized for complications related to the foot ulcer. Non- traumatic amputations occur with about 60% in persons with diabetes. This video will help you understand the magnitude of this problem.
