FICA is an acronym for Federal Insurance Contribution Act. FICA taxes are deducted from the pay of most American workers to support Social Security programs. It also funds Medicare and is an employment tax. This video reviews how FICA tax is split between the employers and employees and discusses FICA and non-FICA wages.
