Asset Spend Down: Single Medicaid Applicant

Gain insight into Medicaid eligibility requirements for single applicants.

Medicaid is a needs-based, joint federal-state program of medical assistance for individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled or who are members of families with dependent children. Single applicants have their own income limit and countable resources limit, as well as certain resources that can be excluded when determining qualification for Medicaid. This video reviews these different limits for single applicants and discusses the countable and excluded resources.
