Learn new techniques and strategies to combat unconscious bias.
This topic will address understanding the link between diversity, cultural competency, and productivity. The information will address an enhanced appreciation of the nature and prevalence of bias; platforms for identifying, addressing and minimizing bias; and case studies will be provided in this topic geared towards an intermediate level. Learn how to identify, acknowledge and properly address unconscious bias in the workplace, particularly as practiced by those within the managerial ranks of organizations. New techniques and strategies will be addressed to combat and eradicate unconscious bias in the workplace. These new techniques include looking for outcomes; identifying, describing and addressing unconscious bias within your experience and purview; exploring how to ask yourself and others to share their experience with unconscious bias and when they did something right or wrong with it; learning when and how to interrupt unconscious bias; and learning how to use the past, present, and future when introducing, addressing, and confronting unconscious bias throughout the workforce and workplace.
