Pros and Cons of Using AI in Construction

Learn about the tasks that AI can perform during many of the phases of the construction project.

While AI has limitations, and all numerical values such as those in the construction cost estimate for bid must be manually checked, there are several tasks that AI can perform some or most of. These include: the security program, onsite overhead expenses such as the trailer, safety, establishing and protecting the critical path, suggesting cost estimating methods, writing a Gantt chart, writing the schedule, scheduling inspections, taking construction photographs, managing changes in scope, and determining when the contract has been abandoned. We will describe the many tasks that AI can perform during many of the phases of the construction project including the initiation, planning, engineering, bidding, construction and warrantee period.
