Scott is an attorney in the Tampa office of Carlton Fields. He is board certificated in construction law by the Florida Bar. He practices construction and real estate law focusing primarily on reviewing, drafting, negotiating and administering design and construction contracts for both public and private projects, including insurance and other risk management issues, where he represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, landlord, tenants and lenders. Scott is a member of the ABA’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section and the Forum on the Construction Industry. He is the Chair of the Construction Law Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, as well as, the editor of "Insurance Matters!" a newsletter of the Insurance and Surety Committee of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. He was selected by Florida Super Lawyers as a Florida Rising Star in 2013-2015 and he speaks and writes regularly on construction contracting, insurance issues and related topics.
