Advanced Issues in New York Paid Family Leave Law

Get an in depth overview of issues surrounding New York's new Paid Family Leave Act (PFL).

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board and Department of Financial Services have issued regulations to provide employers with direction concerning how the Paid Family Leave Act will be implemented. This topic will review the final regulations and forms which employers will be required to comply with.

You will review unique leave scenarios with which employers will be confronted which will include interaction with: (1) short-term disability leave; (2) the Family and Medical Leave Act; and (3) the New York State Labor Law. The current forms prepared by the New York State Workers' Compensation Board will be reviewed.
