Seller-Financing Restrictions Under Dodd-Frank

Gain an understanding of how Dodd-Frank regulates the seller-financed industry.

The Loan Originator Rule came into effect on January 10, 2014, to implement the new Dodd-Frank requirements. The Rule expanded to include certain restrictions on seller-financing in residential real estate transactions where the dwelling is secured by a mortgage unless the seller is entitled to certain exclusions. This material will help to de-mystify the rules and regulations surrounding a section of the law that covers seller-financing and how that impacts anyone from large institutions to Mr. and Mrs. Smith down the street.
