U.S. EPA Proposes New Toxic Substances Control Act Fee Rule

Proposed rule issued in February could collect more than $20 million annually.

The proposed rule that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency produced would charge fees for new user in conjunction with the amended Toxic Substances Control Act. During 2019-2021 the U.S. EPA looks to gain large sums of money on the activities on which the new fees would be charged. This white paper reviews the proposed user fees and what would happen if there was a failure to pay the fees.
