Introduction to the 2010 ADA Standards

March 15, 2012 was the key date for compliance.

When the DOJ announces the 2010 rules, there was an interim period from September 2010 until March 15, 2012. From that point forward any new construction and alterations must comply with the Standards. New to the 2010 ADA Standards were requirements for recreation areas, housing at a place of education, and residential facilities. This video reviews these new areas and discusses the challenges to applying the requirements.
