Definition of Labor Shortage

 

Since 2015, projects started to experience a lack of labor availability.

The lack of this labor availability was resulting in potential project delays. More and more contractor and subcontractors putting forth claims and change order requests for additional costs as a result of not being able to find labor for specific trades in various different markets. These claims then lead to disputes, particularly in commercial mixed use projects. This video reviews the current perception of labor conditions and the impact of labor shortages.
