National Electrical Code (NEC) Requirements for Nonelectrical Engineers

Understand the components of a building's electrical system and possible electrical hazards.

The electric power systems that exist unseen behind the walls and doors of our homes and businesses must be adequately installed and maintained to mitigate electrical hazards. Electrical hazards can cause personal injury, fires and property damage. This material will cover the National Electrical Code's (NEC's) requirements for proper wiring and protection. The content will identify possible electrical hazards and how a proper installation can eliminate those hazards.
