Managing Parental and Personal Leave Return to Work

Gain an understanding of how to stay compliant when managing parental and personal leave.

Many employers struggle with how to appropriately respond to employees' requests for parental and other types of leave in compliance with applicable laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Failing to appropriately provide required leave can lead to disgruntled employees, lawsuits, and/or government investigations. This topic is intended to provide you with information on managing employee leave and return to work issues in the workplace. The information will include types of reasonable accommodations, including in the return-to-work context; common leave and post-leave problems and how to avoid them; on ramping policies that will help ensure employee success; and examples and case studies.
